Mr. Sunil Vachani

President

Mr. Sunil Vachani is the Chairman of Dixon Technologies (India) Ltd and has more than 30 years of experience in the electronics manufacturing industry. Under his reins, Dixon has emerged as the largest Indian EMS/ODM company in the field of consumer electronics, home appliances, lighting, Security systems, set-top boxes, mobile phones, and Medical devices. Dixon manufactures these products for some of the leading brands in the industry and also exports its products to over 15 countries in the world. Dixon recently concluded their IPO with a successful listing on the NSE & BSE. During his tenure, Dixon has been adjudged the Best Indian EMS by various trade journals and industry bodies. The company is now globally recognized for its design capabilities and low-cost manufacturing. Mr. Vachani has been selected among the top 100 Influencers in the Electronic Manufacturing services industry globally by VentureOutsource.com. He has been associated with various industry bodies and has headed ESC (Electronics Software Export Promotion Council of India) for 2 years besides being active in the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) as the Co-Chair of the ICTE Committee and Executive Committee member of CEAMA (Consumer Electronics and Appliances Manufacturers Association).

Mr. Vachani has been awarded the Dataquest Aatmanirbhar Bharat Champion for the year 2020. He was associated with Benin for over 10 years as their Honorary Consul General. Mr. Vachani’s hobbies include reading, yoga & meditation and he is also active in the Young Presidents organization which is a global platform for entrepreneurs to exchange ideas on various issues.

Mr. Rajiv Aggarwal

Vice President – Electronics

Rajiv Aggarwal is the Vice President for Public Affairs at Samsung Southwest Asia. As the public affairs leader of one of the premier high-tech manufacturing entities in India, Rajiv has been engaged in advocacy and thought leadership on a range of policy issues including Make in India, Digital India, IT, and Artificial Intelligence. Before joining the corporate world in Uber, and then Meta (then Facebook India), he had worked from grassroots to global level as an Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer. This included being a District Magistrate in 9 districts (Varanasi, Prayagraj, Muzaffarnagar, and Jhansi to name a few) across Uttar Pradesh, the most populous state in India. Amongst a host of policy initiatives, as Joint Secretary in the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT, M/o Commerce), he steered India’s first-ever national policy on Intellectual Property Rights (IPRs) and was the lead negotiator with other nations on IPRs for the Government of India. He has to his credit the establishment of new organizations, like the Lucknow Metro Rail Corporation (as its first MD).

An experienced hand at public administration in a career spanning 26 years, he has dealt effectively with highly volatile situations and managed mega events successfully.

Mr. Vikas Gupta

Vice President – Large Appliances

Mr. Vikas Gupta is an Executive Director of operations and also one of the promoters of PG Electroplast Limited. He did his Master in Business Administration from the University of Pune in 1995 and B.Com (Hons.) from Delhi University in 1993. He started his career with PG Electronic Components Private Limited, one of our erstwhile Promoter Group Companies, in 1995. There, he was responsible for overseeing the production/manufacturing of PCB assemblies and electronic TV components. In 1999, he joined Bigesto Technologies Limited (formerly Bigesto Foods Limited) as Director, responsible for manufacturing and marketing operations of the company. He joined PG Electroplast Limited as Executive Director – Operations in the year 2010 where he oversees the entire production and marketing operations of PG Electroplast Limited. His responsibilities include ensuring functions that can deliver products and services to customers in an efficient, timely, and cost-efficient manner and managing and increasing the efficiency of operational support services.

Mr. Anuj Poddar

Vice President – Small Appliances

Mr. Anuj Poddar is the Executive Director of Bajaj Electricals Limited, India’s leading Consumer Durables and Engineering Projects company. He is spearheading the transformation journey of Bajaj Electricals and is responsible for managing all the businesses and operations of the company. Before taking up this role, he was a member of the Leadership Team at Viacom18 Media Private Limited and was one of its key founding team members. He has also led strategy for MTV Networks Asia, based out of Singapore. Prior to this, Mr. Poddar spent nearly a decade with Arthur Andersen and KPMG and was involved in a range of consulting, mergers and acquisitions, and assurance services to a range of clients across financial services, consumer, IT ITES, and other sectors. He is a rank-holding Chartered Accountant and lives with his family in Mumbai, India.

Mr. Shashi Arora

Hony. Secretary

With a distinguished career spanning over three decades, Shashi Arora has amassed extensive experience in renowned companies such as Raymonds, Hindustan Unilever, Kotak Mahindra Bank, Airtel, Lloyd (Havells), and currently serves as the President and chief Operating Officer of the ‘Cooling & Purification Appliances Group’ at Blue Star.

A gold medallist in BE (Textiles), Shashi graduated from the Technological Institute of Textiles and Sciences, Bhiwani, in 1986. Following a brief tenure at Raymonds, Mumbai, he pursued an MBA at XLRI Jamshedpur, getting another gold medal in academics. His journey at Hindustan Unilever began in 1991, with roles including responsibility for soaps & detergent sales in the Northeast region. In 1985, he was promoted to Brand Manager for “Rin” and successfully launched products like “Rin Shakti” and “Surf Excel Matic.” In 1999, he assumed the role of Regional Sales Manager for the Eastern region. Transitioning from FMCG to banking in 2002, Shashi joined Kotak Mahindra as Group Marketing Head, leading the pan-India launch of Kotak Mahindra Bank.

From 2008 to 2018, he played pivotal roles within the Airtel group, serving as Chief Operating Officer and later as Chief Executive Officer for Delhi Circle. In 2011, he took charge as Executive Director & CEO of Airtel’s DTH business, taking the business to the No.2 position in the country. In this role, he was part of the Airtel Management Board (AMB) as well. Subsequently, he became MD & CEO of Airtel Payments Bank, a joint venture between Bharti Airtel and Kotak Mahindra Bank.

In 2018, Shashi joined Havells Group as the President & CEO of Lloyd Consumer Durables, leading the strategic entry of the Company into the consumer durables business. Later, from April 2022 onwards, he joined Blue Star as President & COO. He is an integral part of Blue Star’s Group Management Committee (GMC) and is a Director on the Board of Blue Star Climatech Ltd. He currently serves as the Honorary Secretary of CEAMA and is the Co-Chair of the CII Committee for Warehousing, Logistics & Cold Chain (Northern Region). With a keen focus on digitization, and with his exceptional leadership and extensive industry experience, Shashi continues to drive success & innovation in the business he leads.

Mr. Salil Kappoor

Mr. Salil Kapoor is the Chief Executive Officer of Hindware Home Innovation Limited, overseeing consumer appliances and retail divisions. He also heads Hintastica Pvt. Ltd., a Joint Venture with Groupe Atlantic of France.

An accomplished business leader with broad-based experience across the consumer products and media industry, Mr. Salil Kapoor has held CXO and leadership roles with marquee brands like LG, Samsung, Dishtv, and Voltas amongst others. He is an active contributor to industry and is passionate about creating brands, technology, and start-ups.

Mr. Salil Kapoor is also an independent director on the board of the Electronics Sector Skill Council of India (ESSCI) and a core member of management committee at CEAMA (Consumer Electronics and Appliances Manufacturers Association) of India.
